12v Relay - Quick Start Guide

Hardware Overview

  

Pairing the Relay

To pair a relay onto the control panel, go into Smart Automation and then Relays.
  1. Put the panel into pairing mode by unlocking the receiver at the top of the page and Start Refresh at the top right of the screen (for more information on accessing this page, please refer to the Control Panel guides)
  2. Connect the power to the realy and within 5 seconds of connecting the power, press the P1 button twice
  3. The relay will flash 3 times, confirming it is in pairing mode and will now show in red on the configuration interface (if the unit flashed 3 times and not showing in the list on the configuration page, go to Menu and logout of the control panel and log back in again, go back to Smart Automation > Relays and it will appear).
  4. Select the relay and go to the configuration page for the device
    1. Set the device as Active
    2. Turn on Visible in smart automation list
    3. Name the Relay in Description
    4. Set an Area for the device
    5. Configure which relay(s) is active and duration for latching the Output
    6. Press Save at the top right of the page
  5. To complete the pairing process, press and hold the P1 button for around 3-4 seconds and let go
  6. The relay will flash to confirm and will now be showing as green on the Wireless Sensors page of the panel configuration

  1. Active - Enables the Relay
  2. Visible in smart automation list - Allows the Outputs to be used within the Smart Automation > Automation Rules section
  3. Description - Set a name for the device/zone
  4. Repeater - Currently unsupported
  5. Radio Power -  Sets the power for the RF antenna in the device (if the device is mounted far from the control panel, ensure this is set to maximum)
  6. Area - Set which Area the device is in

Standard/Default Configuration

Installation


To install the Relay to a solid surface:
  1. Unscrew the orange wiring covers
  2. Screw the device using the 2 mounting holes in the corner
  3. Put the orange covers back onto the wiring and secure with the screws provided

Usage in Smart Automation

With the "Visible in smart automation list" option enabled, the relay can be used within the automation rules. This can be triggered from control panel state changes, individual zone triggers or create a manual button allowing it to be triggered from the webeyeCMS platform/app.
