Audio Challenge through webeyeCMS (1 way or 2 way)
Audio Challenge through webeyeCMS (1 way or 2 way)
Introduction
Two-way audio challenge is now available straight through the webeyeCMS platform, allowing you to voice down to site and also listen to any possible intruders.
If the NVR/Camera has an audio input or built in microphone then this will be played as soon as the Audio is initiated. To talk back to site, press and hold the Microphone symbol displayed at the bottom right. When webeyeCMS is receiving an input to talk back to site, an amplitude graph will appear from the bottom of the audio window to display the received audio from the user.
Enabling Audio with a Device on webeyeCMS
To enable audio, navigate to the site and click View. Go to Devices on Site on the left. Click on the 3 dots (menu) on the top right of the Hikvision device and select configure.
Once here scroll to Audio Options and enable the NVR and/or cameras that have audio capability.
Audio Challenge through an alarm
Initiate with NVR
To initiate with NVR, click Audio Connect within Commands and confirm. Once the Audio box is showing at the bottom right you will be able to listen to the NVR's attached microphone (if applicable). To talk back to site, simply press and hold on the Microphone button, let go to stop talking.
Initiate with Camera
To initiate directly with the camera, select the camera from the commands on the right hand side, this will open a live stream for that camera to perform 2 way audio, select Audio Camera (1) from below the stream. Same as with the audio challenge with the NVR, it will open the stream for listening and then pressing the Microphone button will allow you to talk down to site.
Audio Challenge through LiveLink
As well as being able to initiate he audio through an alarm, you can also use LiveLink. To do this go to the device (same as where you go to configure the audio options) and instead of Configure, go to LiveLink. Once here, if it is not already connected, you will need to connect to the NVR via LiveLink by clicking Connect, no code is needed as all the details for the NVR are already stored. Select confirm and this will connect the NVR to webeyeCMS.
Initiate with NVR
To initiate with NVR, click Call Device within Available Commands. Once the Audio box is showing at the bottom right you will be able to listen to the NVR's attached microphone (if applicable). To talk back to site, simply press and hold on the Microphone button, let go to stop talking.
Initiate with Camera
To initiate directly with the camera, select the microphone symbol of the camera from within the Available Cameras section on the right hand side, once the Audio box is showing at the bottom right you will be able to listen to the Camera's attached microphone (if applicable). To talk back to site, simply press and hold on the Microphone button, let go to stop talking. Like with the alarm side, you can stream from a camera at the same time, simply click the Play symbol to start a stream.
Troubleshooting
No audio is going from webeyeCMS to the speaker on site
Is the amplitude graph displaying when holding mic button down? If not then this could be:
No audio capturing device is plugged into your PC/laptop
Wrong audio device is selected through operating system
If the amplitude graph is showing but no audio is coming from the speaker on site, this will most likely be a site issue. Try checking the configuration of the attached devices, re-wiring the speaker or try using a different speaker.
No audio is coming from site to webeyeCMS
Ensure computer volume is turned up
Check permissions for the website to ensure sound is allowed
I can hear the site audio but it is very quiet
Ensure operating system sounds is turned up
If using camera, check the input levels are turned up (through configuration of the camera and not the NVR/DVR)
