Internal PIR Detector - Quick Start Guide
Internal PIR Detector - Quick Start Guide
Hardware Overview
Pairing the Detector
To pair a PIR detector with the control panel, go into the Wireless Sensors section of the configuration.
- Put the panel into pairing mode by unlocking the receiver at the top of the page, and start Refresh at the top right of the screen (for more information on accessing this page, please refer to the Control Panel guides)
- Connect the battery to the detector, and within 5 seconds of connecting the battery, press the tamper switch twice
- The device will beep 3 times, confirming it is in pairing mode and will now show in red on the configuration interface
- Select the detector and go to the configuration page for the device
- Name the device at the top of the page, scroll to the bottom and set an Area for the device
- Press Save at the top right of the page
- To complete the pairing process, press and hold the tamper button for around 3-4 seconds and let go
- The device will beep to confirm, and will now be showing as green on the Wireless Sensors page of the panel configuration
Once finished, ensure the receiver is locked again at the top of the page.
Device Configuration
Configuration Overview
- Name/Description - Name of the detector (can be location)
- Enabling time - Setting a trigger delay to the camera (allowing time for the system to be disarmed)
- Maximum Activations - The number of times a camera can be triggered during an arming session (set the slider to the far left for unlimited)
- Excludable - Turning this setting on allows the system to be armed if this device is currently open / in fault
- Silent Alarm - Send alarm without activating siren(s)
- Alarm all day 24H Alarm - The device will be armed all the time, regardless of the current arming state of the system
- Verify Mode - Logs the trigger in the Event Log, does not send an alarm to webeyeCMS (leaves the device working but does not send an alarm)
- Exclude Tamper - Excludes the tamper on the device
- Led - Enables the LED on the front of the camera when triggered (Red LED = PIR detection, Blue LED = Microwave detection)
- Siren - Triggers the built-in siren on the camera upon activation
- Beep- Enables a beep when videos/snapshots are being requested
- Notify Open Zone Voice - Announces open zone through the control panel's in-built speaker
- PIR Sensitivity - Alter the sensitivity of the PIR sensor (higher = more sensitive)
- Pulse Count - Pulse count indicates how much activity (pulses) is required to trigger an alarm. A higher pulse count will minimise false alarms from a device, but will require more movement before triggering
- Blind Time - Amount of time it waits before it checks for another trigger (lower = more sensitive)
- Window Time - Time required to trigger the number of pulses (lower = more sensitive)
- Radio Power - Sets the power for the RF antenna in the device (if the device is mounted far from the control panel, ensure this is set to maximum)
- RF Repeater - Currently not supported. Will allow you to choose which repeater (when paired) the camera will use to communicate back to the panel.
- Low Battery Voltage - Setting for when the camera will alert for low battery (external camera default is 2.7V)
- Active Areas - Setting the area in which the camera is active in (ensure at least one area is selected)
Standard/Default Configuration
Installation
To install the detector, screw the mounting bracket to a flat surface. Once the bracket is on, simply clip the detector onto the bracket and angle it as required.
